- Almaden Valley (Area Code 95120), or simply Almaden, is one of San Jose’s most sought-after neighborhoods for families and those seeking a safe and active lifestyle. The neighborhood is named after the New Almaden Quicksilver Mines, located in the hills in the southern portion of Almaden. It is filled with parks, historical sites, wonderful, large homes, and some of the best views in all of Silicon Valley.

- Almaden is home to many wonderful elementary, middle, and high schools. Most schools are ranked with a 9 out of 10 in the GreatSchools.org rankings. The majority of Almaden falls into the San Jose Unified School District. The northwest part of the valley is part of the San Jose and Campbell Union School Districts. A few homes even are in the Los Gatos School District. The public elementary schools include Graystone, Los Alamitos, Williams, Simonds, and Guadalupe. The middle schools in the area are Castillero and Bret Harte (with those in the Union district attending Dartmouth). Leland is the only school high school inside Almaden. However, a large number of Almaden residents also attend Pioneer, Branham, and Leigh.
- Almaden also has a number of quality private schools. Those include Almaden Country Day School (PreK-8), Holy Spirit (K-8), and Challenger (PreK-8).
